The Samsung Galaxy S26 series hit the market a little earlier this year, and even though it’s been out for a long time, several news have been reported. Most of the problems are actually directly related to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, although a few issues apply across the entire family.
In this guide, we’ll look at some of the currently known problems, as well as any possible solutions. Note that some issues are not fixed at this time, although we will update the guide if and when these issues are resolved.
Message: It is important to remember that not all Samsung Galaxy S26 smartphones will have these problems. In fact, you may not encounter any problems at all.

Problem 1: Display and other screen issues

Hadlee Simons / Android Authority
A large number of Galaxy S26 Ultra users have reported problems with the display. This includes slurred text, blurred vision, and blurred vision when used. Samsung is currently investigating this issue and will hopefully resolve it with further software updates.
In the meantime, you’ll find that there are a few fixes that can help. In fact, it is important to combine multiple solutions together, as that can help in some cases.
Possible solutions:
- Close Privacy Display: This feature should control the brightness of certain pixels on the screen, which may be part of the problem. To fix things, go to Settings > Display > Privacy Display. If you have High privacy protection enabled, we recommend turning this off to see if it makes a difference.
- Place The Eye Comfort Shield: This feature should help protect your eyes from discomfort. Go to Settings > Display then tap A shield that pleases the eyes. This may make enough of a difference to solve the current Galaxy S26 Ultra issues.
- Use the Extra Dim Setting: Go to Settings > Settings > Visual Enhancements. From here, you will be able to start An additional method of Dimwhich can help if your eyes are sensitive to bright light.
Problem 2: Android Auto glitches and bugs

Andy Walker / Android Authority
Android Auto issues are common across all Android devices, especially if you’re using Android Auto Wireless. The new Galaxy S26 series is no exception, although it is possible that this time the problem persists. There are reports on Reddit of users who have tried the usual troubleshooting methods, but it’s likely an Android-wide issue.
It is possible that this is just a temporary bug that will need to wait for Google or Samsung to fix it. That said, it doesn’t hurt to try some of the common solutions below, as they may still help other users.
Possible solutions:
- Android Auto Wireless can’t connect? Test the internet connection first. Some users have run into problems getting the wireless to work without first establishing a cable connection. After that, some users report that they are able to use Android Auto Wireless normally.
- Have you used Smart Switch to root your Galaxy S26? If so, you may need to clear your device’s cache and storage. Go to Settings > Apps > Android Auto > Storage then tap Clear Cache and Clear Security.
- Your cable may be the problem.
- Make sure the cable is not torn, damaged, or otherwise damaged: Try it with other devices if you can, and replace it if necessary.
Problem 3: Too many potential problems

Paul Jones / Android Authority
While the Galaxy S24 had its fair share of overheating issues, this was no less of a problem with the Galaxy S25 series. The same story plays out with the Galaxy S26 family as well, with only a few isolated news reports so far.
The truth is that although overheating should not be a big problem, the latest Snapdragon chips can generate enough heat during intensive use, such as when you play graphic-intensive games.
If you face any recurring problems with overheating, the solutions below are probably your best bet right now.
Possible solutions:
- Wait for software updates: If Samsung feels that overheating is a widely reported issue, it might update its software to fix the problem.
- Reset the device. Even so, sometimes installation bugs can cause your phone to behave erratically. If your phone gets unbearably hot, we recommend that you try a factory reset.
- Contact Samsung for warranty repair: If you feel that your phone is overheating, contacting Samsung may be a good idea. It could be a hardware problem affecting your device, and a simple change can solve the problem.
Problem 4: Difficulty accessing Ultra high-speed wireless charging

Paul Jones / Android Authority
Although it offers a wireless charging speed of 25W in theory, many users find it difficult to achieve this with the Galaxy S26 Ultra as it happens. A large number of third-party and official Samsung chargers fail to reach high speeds, and the phone often drops to 10W or 15W instead.
Even dbrand support has spoken about the incompatibility of some of its products, while pointing out that even a $50 Samsung phone charger will achieve this speed under specific conditions, including the need for a 45W charger that the Samsung device does not come out of the box.
So what is the solution to this problem? It turns out that there is no perfect fix. Some brands, like Spigen, reportedly have several options that can hit 25W. But of course it will be a game of trial and error. Hopefully, Samsung provides a solution to this problem in the future, although it’s hard to tell if it’s a software or hardware problem.
Problem 5: Camera upgrade on Galaxy 26 Ultra

Zac Kew-Denniss / Android Authority
The Galaxy S26 Ultra has garnered several reports, including one from Ice Universe, regarding issues related to the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera lenses. The condensation makes a good camera experience turn sour quickly.
Unfortunately, this is a defect in the housing seal and is not something that can be easily fixed without a visit to the service center or an exchange. Although the problem is not fixed, we recommend not to wait for this issue, as it can cause long-term damage to the cameras.
