In September, Apple launched its latest line of smartwatches, including the Apple Watch Series 11, SE 3, and Ultra 3. Each has its own pros and cons, but the introduction of Apple’s new wearables also means that there are now more Apple Watch models on the market than ever before — and many more deals to be had.
But with all those options, which one should you choose? In general, you want to buy the newest watch you can afford so that it continues to receive software updates from Apple. The latest update, watchOS 26, which launched in September on Series 6 and newer models, leaves those with Series 5 and older devices in the proverbial dust. Fortunately, picking up a watch from the latest (or later) generation ensures that you’re getting a futuristic smartwatch with an updated design, a powerful feature set, and more sensors.
Now, let’s get to the deals.
Apple Watch Series 11 works

The Apple Watch Series 11 is an iterative update to the Series 10, meaning those who already own Apple’s latest model may not feel the need to upgrade. That being said, the newest model offers a more efficient 5G modem and a more rugged display, as well as 6 hours of battery life over the Series 10. It’s also the smallest Apple Watch to date and the first to offer FDA-cleared blood pressure notifications out of the gate, which you can also upgrade to the 2 and Series 9.
If you want to upgrade, however, you can pick up the Apple Watch Series 11 in 42mm / GPS configuration at Amazon and Walmart starting at $329 ($70 off), which is still the second best price we’ve seen for the base model. If you prefer the larger 46mm / GPS model, it’s also available at Amazon and Walmart for around $329 ($100 off), matching its lowest price yet.

While the Apple Watch Series 11 and Ultra 3 introduced a number of iterative improvements, the new Apple Watch SE 3 represents a major upgrade over the predecessor in 2022. The entry-level watch has the same fast S10 chip found in Apple’s flagship models, for one, which allows you to take advantage of Apple’s double-tap feature, wrist gestures and the device’s Siri. The SE 3 also (finally) adds an always-on display, 5G connectivity, fast charging support, and audio playback so you can listen to music or podcasts directly from your handheld.
On the health side, the SE 3 introduces a wrist temperature sensor for tracking recent ovulation, as well as breathing disturbance alerts, sleep apnea notifications, and a new Sleep Score that breaks down time spent on each platform. What you won’t get is the Series 11’s EKG functionality, blood oxygen monitoring, or blood pressure notifications — these are exclusive to the Series and Ultra models.
In terms of deals, the Apple Watch SE 3 is available now on Amazon in its 40mm configuration with GPS for $239, just $10 off and nearly $40 off its lowest price ever. You can also pick up the larger 44mm model on Amazon starting at $269, which is, again, $10 less than MSRP.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 works

Unsurprisingly, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 offers more features, sensors, and capabilities than any Apple Watch to date. It has a larger, wider OLED display with a 1Hz refresh rate and thinner bezels, as well as satellite and 5G connectivity. Even better, battery life has been increased from 36 hours to 42 hours – a small improvement, but one that allows you to upgrade to more life if needed.
In terms of deals, the Ultra 3 recently dropped to $699.99 ($100 off), which is the current sale price on Amazon when you choose an Ocean Band or Trail Loop strap. You can also pick it up from Amazon with Alpine Loop straps starting at $768 ($32 off), which is still one of the better prices we’ve seen on the brand in recent weeks.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 works

If the latest Ultra isn’t what you’re looking for, you can save money by opting for the Apple Watch Ultra 2, which isn’t much different from Apple’s latest model. The wearable runs on the old S9 SiP and has Apple’s second-generation chip, but that may not matter to you as it still offers accurate GPS tracking, a variety of dive tools, and durable battery life.
Right now, you can pick up the Apple Watch Ultra 2 at Best Buy with an Alpine Loop, Trail Loop, or Ocean Band starting at $574 ($225 off), which is about $125 less than the current price of the Ultra 3.
