Quip.Network Launches Quantum-Classical Blockchain Testnet Built in Partnership with D-Wave

More than 13,000 people have registered to participate in the testnetenabling the global research community to experiment, collaborate, and contribute to the development of the intersection between quantum computing, blockchain technology and distributed quantum computing.

The testnet is designed to support the development and adoption of global quantum blockchain standards. It is planned to explore the role that quantum computing can play in enabling a more secure and energy-efficient blockchain in distributed computing networks. Testnet works D-Wave’s Advantage2™ annealing quantum computers to solve complex optimization problems along with other computing platforms.

Quip.Network’s testnet mining protocol was developed to solve a wide range of computing problems – a class of problems where D-Wave’s Advantage2 annealing quantum computer has it. showed competitive performance related to old computer systems. Researchers and developers are invited to participate in the testnet and compete in QUIP by solving these problems using quantum and classical computing resources, including CPUs and GPUs.
