The Google Pixel 10a has been out since March, and unlike the launch of the Pixel 10, there haven’t been many issues specific to the Pixel 10a yet. Of course, no phone ever launched perfectly. Disruptions and problems are bound to happen.
Below are some of the most common problems you may experience with your Pixel 10a, although many apply to other Pixel phones and Android in general.
Message: It is important to remember that not all Samsung Galaxy S26 smartphones will have these problems. In fact, you may not encounter any problems at all.

Problem 1: Screen freezing

Joe Maring / Android Authority
Google is aware of this issue and may address it with a software update in the near future, but for now, there are potential workarounds.
Possible solutions:
- Some users found that the problem was solved after the latest Play System update, although this does not seem to work for everyone.
- Another possible option is to roll back to the January 2026 update, although you’ll have to save it to an older (and potentially more vulnerable) version as reinstalling the March 2026 update will bring the problem back.
Problem 2: Compatibility problems with T-Satellite

Joe Maring / Android Authority
While the Pixel 10a should technically be compatible with T-Mobile’s T-Sat service, there are a few users who have reported issues with connectivity. Many will see the satellite logo, but it will not be able to connect successfully, and it says that the network is not available.
Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be an official fix. That said, this doesn’t seem to be a very common issue. There are a few things that can help you as well.
Possible solutions:
- First, try deleting the T-Mobile T-Sat app and services. If this doesn’t work, you’ll want to consider a full factory reset.
- That didn’t work? The benefit you set is to contact Google for support and the possibility of exchanging tools.
Problem 3: RCS has problems with Google Pixel 10a

Joe Maring / Android Authority
As with the Pixel 10, some Pixel 10a users have reported issues with the RCS not working properly when they first switch. Fortunately, this is very easy to fix, since it’s almost a case that you were using RCS on a previous device and it wasn’t transferred seamlessly.
Possible solutions:
- If RCS was running on your previous device, turn it off before setting up the new one. Open Messagesclick Other options, go to Settingschoose RCS catsthen tap Turn off RCS Chats.
- Don’t have your old phone anymore? Google provides an online form where you can enter your number to receive a remote verification code prevent RCS previous device.
- If neither option works, you may not need to do anything at all. RCS usually rejects the old device and automatically registers a new one within a day.
Problem 4: Android Auto issues, including malfunctions or connection problems

Andy Walker / Android Authority
Android Auto has improved a lot in recent years, but connection problems and slow performance still appear in new devices from time to time. Some Pixel 10a owners have reported that the device is unresponsive or slow to update data.
Possible solutions:
- Start by checking that Android Auto is fully up to date and that all your cables are connected correctly.
- If updating doesn’t help, a factory reset has worked for some users as a last resort. This is covered in the steps below, but it’s important to complete the other options first, depending on the level of interference.
